TMLA Spirit was on full display all during the 5 days of fun activities called Spirit Week. Excitement was high each day as home rooms and years competed to be named Winner.
Students wore a variety of costumes each day of Spirit Week. On Monday ideas for student costumes came by using the first letter of the student’s name. Next day students came dressed like a favorite fictional character. Wearing a costume that matched the class theme was another day’s creative challenge. Friday saw too many free choices to count or decipher.
Themes for each year’s Hallway Designs were based on holidays: 9th year – Christmas, 10th year – Fourth of July, 11th year – Valentine’s Day, 12th year – Hallowe’en. Faculty theme was Mardi Gras.
On Friday, the whole school gathered at York College to applaud each year’s presentations based on its theme in Dance and Step and Cheer, and also in the Relay Races.
Competition was keen all through the week and especially on Spirit Night, but Juniors prevailed and won both Spirit Night and Spirit Week.
