Service is an integral part of our TMLA community. Our Service Learning & Leadership students have been volunteering at Xavier Mission regularly since last September, in addition to their many other projects.
On November 13, faculty and staff—current and retired—as well alumnae, Marianne Samothrakis ‘76, Elvira Viaggio Molinari ‘76, and Marianne Yen ‘80, joined Roxanne De La Torre ‘05, Director of Outreach for Xavier Mission, to serve meals at the Mission’s Welcome Table.
Volunteering at Xavier Mission allows faculty, as well as students, to live out the Core Value of Service, a part of the educational mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph, sponsor of The Mary Louis Academy.
