TMLA welcomed the Class of 2026 into the Mary Louis family on Orientation Day, August 31. Mrs. Corrado, Dean for this class, explained to the 9th graders that the theme for the Class of 2026 “Together We Rise” reminds us that we can and will rise by helping each other and working together. We can only soar to our highest potential with the help of others - classmates, teachers, administration, the local community, and maybe even a larger-scale community.
After introducing the group to the Principal Mrs. Cordes, Assistant Principal Mrs. Mauro, 9th-year Guidance Counselor Mrs. O’Connor, and an Advisor for each Home Room, Mrs. Corrado announced that the goal for the rest of the day was for the group to have fun, to keep an open mind, to meet new friends and to begin to work together. Home Rooms were then directed to a variety of activities. The Scavenger hunt helped Freshwomen to get acquainted with the school and meet others. They played Beachball, Ladderball, and Cornhole games on the senior lawn. Then they went into the cafeteria to collaborate in making art posters. Orientation Day 2, September 1, started with a prayer service, followed by instructions in technology, and concluded with a BBQ on the lawn.
